General terms and conditions for the sale of MERAKI Leather products VIA THE merakileather.COM WEBSITE.
This document sets out the Terms and Conditions governing the use of the website www.merakileather.com , as well as the terms and conditions applicable to the purchase of all products and services offered through this website.
Meraki® Leather Crafts reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions shall apply only to new orders placed after the updated version has been published on this website.
This website is owned and operated by Meraki® Leather Moldova. By placing an order through the online store www.merakileather.com , the Customer accepts the Terms and Conditions governing the sale of the products displayed on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions"), as set out below.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the information regarding the products displayed on the website, constitute a public offer in accordance with Article 681 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova and Law No. 284 on Electronic Commerce. By reviewing the Terms and Conditions and selecting the checkbox stating, "I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions of this website," the Customer acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
The relationship between the Customer and the Seller shall be governed by Law No. 105 of 13 March 2003 on Consumer Protection, as well as by any other applicable legislation adopted in accordance therewith.
The Seller reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Customer is responsible for reviewing the Terms and Conditions regularly in order to remain informed of any changes.
Article 1 - Information about Meraki Leather and its website.
These terms govern purchases made on merakileather.com, operated by David Andrei, and the website director / publisher by David Mircea, trading as © Meraki Leather Crafts, based in Hîrjauca, Moldova. For order or account questions, contact us at merakileatherhelp@gmail.com. The site is registered in Cloudflare with all the documents and security measures taken care of.
Article 2 - Orders
An order is confirmed once you receive an email confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (e.g. stock error, pricing error) before it ships, in which case you will be refunded in full.
(1) The purchase procedure is complete once the Meraki Leather Crafts Administrator confirms the order. Upon confirmation, the order is sent directly to MERAKI Leather Crafts.
(2) The Customer may correct or cancel the order before its completion by leaving the website without having confirmed the order.
(3) The General Terms and Conditions of Sale are always available on all pages of the website via the links in the footer.
(4) MERAKI Leather Crafts considers the Customer's order to be binding once the entire purchase procedure has been completed properly, without any errors being identified by the Site. The contract between MERAKI Leather Crafts and the Customer is to be considered concluded when the Customer receives confirmation of successful completion from MERAKI Leather Crafts at the e-mail address indicated during the order process, sent in respect of the purchase procedure. With confirmation, the Customer also receives a copy of these accepted General Terms and Conditions of Sale and a complete summary of the order.
(5) Before MERAKI Leather Crafts sends confirmation of the successful conclusion of the contract, MERAKI Leather Crafts reserves the right to decide whether or not to accept orders not providing sufficient guarantees of solvency or which are incomplete or incorrect or if products are unavailable. In this case, MERAKI Leather Crafts will inform the Customer that the contract is not concluded and that it is not following up on the order, providing its reasons for doing so. The Customer is informed within 30 days of transmission of the order to MERAKI Leather Crafts. Any amounts already paid by the Customer for the order will be reimbursed.
(6) Following conclusion of the contract, the Customer will receive written confirmation of the order at the indicated e-mail address, including the number and date of purchase, the product ordered, its price, the amount paid, the right of withdrawal (except in cases where this right is excluded - Personalized Articles, Article 5), indicating the times and instructions for returning goods, the mailing address for complaints, information on customer service, legal and commercial guarantees and the right to use out-of-court resolution mechanisms for complaints or appeals.
The Customer may cancel the order by telephone to MERAKI Leather Crafts Customer Service (068523992) only until ordered products have been prepared for shipment.
Article 3 - Prices and payment
All prices are listed in Euro (EUR) and include all taxes.
(1)For orders within Moldova, payment is made by cash on delivery; the courier collects the equivalent amount in Moldovan Lei (MDL), converted at the National Bank of Moldova's exchange rate of constant 1 EUR = 20 MDL.
(2) For international orders, payment is made via PayPal, in EUR. Shipping costs are not included in the listed price and are shown separately at checkout.
Article 4 - Shipping
We ship within Moldova via private courier (Nova Post); standard delivery takes 3-5 business days after your order ships.
(1) International shipping is available on request only — contact us in advance to confirm availability, delivery timeframe, and shipping cost for your location. International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country; these are the customer's responsibility and are not included in the item or shipping price.
Article 5 - Personalized and made-to-order items
Some items are possible to be made to order or personalized on request (e.g. engraving, initials, custom sizing). Production time varies depending on quantity, material, and the type of personalization requested; we will confirm the exact timeframe when we confirm your order, in addition to the shipping time in Article 4. Because personalized items are made specifically for you, they are not eligible for change-of-mind returns, only for defects (see Article 7).
Article 6 - Returns and refunds
In accordance with Law of the Republic of Moldova No. 105-XV of 13.03.2003 on Consumer Protection, for standard (non-personalized) items, you may return your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original condition with labels attached. You (the customer) cover return shipping costs. Refunds are issued within 14 business days of us receiving the returned item:
(1) for domestic cash-on-delivery orders, by bank transfer to an account you provide;
(2) for international orders, back to your original PayPal account.
Article 7 - Damaged or defective items
If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at merakileatherhelp@gmail.com with photos of the issue. Only in the case of damaged or defective items Meraki Leather Crafts reserves the responsibility to cover return shipping fees and offer a replacement, repair, or full refund.
Article 8 - Natural material variation
Meraki Leather Crafts products are handmade from natural leather. Slight variation in grain, texture, and color between product photos and the item you receive is normal and not considered a defect.
Article 9 – Retention of Title
Ordered products remain the property of Meraki Leather Crafts until full payment has been received by Meraki Leather Crafts.
However, the customer assumes the risks (including loss, theft or damage) regarding the goods delivered from the date of actual delivery.
Article 10 – Intellectual Property Rights
The Meraki Leather Crafts's products and brands, whether figurative or not, and more generally all other brands, illustrations, images, designs, models and logos appearing on the Company's products sold online, their accessories or packaging, whether registered or not, are and will remain the exclusive property of the Company. Any total or partial reproduction, download, modification or use of these brands, illustrations, images and logos, designs and models for any purpose and on any medium, without the prior explicit written consent of the Company, is strictly prohibited. The same applies to any combination or merger with any other brand, symbol, logo or, more generally, any distinctive sign intended to form a composite logo.
Article 11 - Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
